The Kelsey Group Anticipates Record Attendance and Lively Discussion at ILM:07 Conference Featuring Influential, Progressive Figures From Online Local Media Space

Three-day program adds Facebook’s Chamath Palihapitiya
to lineup of 60-plus A-list speakers.

Princeton, NJ (October 18, 2007) -- The Kelsey Group expects record attendance at its upcoming Interactive Local Media 2007 (ILM:07) conference, which takes place Nov. 28-30 in Los Angeles, California. Among the attractions for attendees are an A-list speaker lineup and the addition of tactical sessions produced by conference partner Search Engine Strategies (SES).

The three-day agenda features more than 60 speakers, with several recent additions, including a keynote presentation by Chamath Palihapitiya, Facebook’s vice president of product marketing and operations. Other key addresses will be delivered by executives from some of the most progressive and influential companies in the interactive local media space—John Hanke, director, Google Earth & Maps, Google; Stuart McKelvey, president and CEO, TMP Directional Marketing; Allison Mnookin, vice president, small business division, Intuit; Jim Riesenbach, president and CEO, Autobytel; and Jake Winebaum, president, RHDi, and CEO, Business.com.

In addition, the agenda includes live one-on-one interviews with Jason Calacanis, CEO, Mahalo; Jennifer Dulski, group vice president and GM, Marketplace, Yahoo!; and Jay Herratti, president, Citysearch. Discussion panels feature the industry’s top executives, including Daniel McCarthy, chairman and CEO, NCI; Scott Ferris, senior vice president and GM of emerging technologies, Atlas (Microsoft); Robyn Rose, vice president, Idearc Superpages; and Jorritt Van der Meulen, vice president of partner relations, Zillow. There will also be a special executive session with Marchex Chairman and CEO Russell Horowitz and Chief Media Officer Bill Day.

“We’ve been holding this event since 1997, but there has never been a local conference with this kind of firepower,” said Peter Krasilovsky, program director, The Kelsey Group. “The quality of the speakers, the record level of attendance and the millions of dollars now being invested in this sector indicate ‘local’ truly is the next frontier on the Internet.”
